The Raffle is open to Batelco mobile postpaid and pre-paid customers (the Customer) holding a valid CPR or smart card. If the winner is under 18, then at the date of delivering the prize, the winner’s guardian must appear to collect the prize having his/her ID as well as a certification proving that he/she is the guardian.

Legal entities who are Batelco mobile customers during the period of the Raffle are also eligible to enter. Only an authorized signatory on behalf of the legal entity will be entitled to take receipt of the prize.

Employees of Batelco and their direct relatives are not eligible to enter the Raffle. The Raffle is void where it is prohibited or restricted by law.

4. How to Enter:

4.1 The Customer may enter the Raffle in either of the following ways:

The Customer shall send an SMS to 95555 with the keyword [B] in English or [ب ] in Arabic and will receive an SMS (in both Arabic and English) in reply on their handset acknowledging their registration and requesting the Customer to review the terms and conditions specific to the raffle on Batelco’s website www.batelco.com.bh.
Once the Customer sends an SMS to the assigned short code, the Customer will become an entrant in the Raffle (an "Entrant"), and will acknowledge acceptance of all Raffle terms and conditions, and agree to be bound by them.

4.2 Once the Entrant enters the Raffle he/she will receive a message with a question and 2 possible answers (one answer is correct and the other wrong). The Entrant answers the question by sending an SMS with the correct answer (which will be a numerical answer) to the Short Code.

4.3 For each correct answer to the question the Entrant receives points, which are added up during the Raffle. Wrong answers give fewer points than the correct answers. The points for each right answer to the question are added in basic and/or bonus mode. In basic mode, the Entrant receives 30 points for each correct answer and 10 points for the wrong or invalid answer.

There will be bonus phases where the Entrant receives more points than the standard ones. In all cases these bonus phases will be communicated to the Entrant via an SMS. These phases can last from half an hour to one day.
Information about the number of points (participations/chances) scored by the Entrants during the Raffle will be sent to the Entrants in SMS messages automatically after receiving the SMS message from the Organizer. In order to know the score; each Entrant can send a SMS with keyword “SCORE” in English or “النتيجة ” in Arabic to 95555.
Each Entrant can drop out of the Raffle and stop receiving any information about the Raffle by sending an SMS with keyword “STOP” in English or “توقف ” in Arabic to 95555. This SMS is free of charge for the Entrant. If the Entrant chooses to send a new SMS message to the participating Short Code 95555 after opting out, he/she will automatically be considered as an Entrant in the Raffle again.

Conditions of Entry:

Entrants’ mobile lines must be shown as active at draw date, any cancelled or deactivated lines will render the entry void.
Each SMS sent by the Customer will be charged at a rate of BD0.390. All the messages sent to the Entrants from the server are free of charge for the Entrants.

The same subscriber’s number can win more than one prize during the period of the Raffle.
A subscriber cannot win more than once per week.
A subscriber will be eligible for either 1 daily prize on that week or 1 weekly prize for that week.
The formation of Entrants’ record for the whole period of the Raffle will start at 00:00:01 hours on the first day of the Raffle and end at 23:59:59 hours on the last day of the Raffle.

Prizes:

Daily prize

5.1.1 The daily winner is determined every day via a draw. The record consists of entry sets corresponding to the total points, earned by each Entrant until that day (23:59:59). During the Raffle each point earned for the answers is assigned to a unique entry/raffle in the database of the Entrants. For example, 30 points received for the correct answer entitle the Entrant to 30 entries; 200 points - to 200 entries/raffles for the drawing of the prize. Each draw will determine 1 winner. Each daily prize winner wins BD500.

5.1.1 The winner is notified by Batelco via a SMS or phone call to their subscriber number. The winner will receive notice within 15 calendar days from the date of the draw. The name and initials, or name of the organization, of the winners may be announced by newspaper ads or via SMS to all the Entrants included in the record.

Weekly prize

The weekly winner is determined every week via a draw. The record consists of entry sets corresponding to the total points, earned by each Entrant from Thursday 00:00:00 till Wednesday 23:59:59. During the Raffle each point earned for the answers is assigned to a unique entry/raffle in the database of the Entrants. For example, 30 points received for the correct answer entitle the Entrant to 30 entries; 200 points - to 200 entries/raffles for the drawing of the prize. Each draw will determine 1 winner. The Winner of the weekly prize wins BD5,000.
The winners are notified by Batelco via a SMS or phone call to their subscriber number. The winner will receive notice within 15 calendar days from the date of decision. Grand prize

The grand prize winner is determined after the end of the Raffle via a draw. The record consists of entry sets corresponding to the total points, earned by each Entrant from the start of the Raffle till the last day. During the Raffle each point earned for the answers is assigned to a unique entry/raffle in the database of the Entrants. For example, 30 points received for the correct answer entitle the Entrant to 30 entries; 200 points - to 200 entries/raffles for the drawing of the prize. The draw will determine 1 winner that will win the grand prize of BD50,000.

5.3.2 The winner is notified by Batelco via a SMS or phone call to their subscriber number. The winner will receive notice within 15 calendar days from the date of the draw. The name and initials, or name of the organization, of the winners may be announced by newspaper ads or via SMS to all the Entrants included in the record.

5.4 Raffle Draw:

Batelco shall draw the Raffle Prizes at its premises.

Awarding Prizes:

All prizes will be awarded within 35 days of the last day of the Raffle.
Preliminary registration of prizes will take place at Bahrain, Batelco HQ offices Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 till 15:00 within 10 working days upon completion of the promotional Raffle.
The winner is liable for payment of due taxes and collections for the prize under any relevant current legislation.
The winners will be contacted by the Organizer. The winners must confirm in writing that they are the legal holder of the Batelco mobile and have that they are entitled to the prize and fill all the necessary documents given by the Organizer. All winners must provide identification documents in order to receive the prize. Prizes may be received by a representative of the winner by proxy upon written confirmation from the winner.
By participating in the Raffle, the winners agree that any of their data, including names, surnames, photos, and video images, Audio recordings can be used by Batelco for advertising purposes with no prior consent of the winner and free of charge.
The Organizer will select up to 2 runner-up winners and if the notified winner refuses the prize or fails to appear to collect it within 7 days of notification, then the Organizer will contact one of the relevant runner-up winners that they have won the prize. If none of the runner-up winners accept the prize or do not show up with 7 days of notification then the prize will remains the property of the Organizer of the Raffle.
Decisions made by the Organizer will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

7. General Terms and Conditions:

7.1 Verification of Entries. The validity of any entry is subject to verification by Batelco.

7.2 Exclusion of Liability –

7.2.1 Entrants release and discharge Batelco from any and all liability resulting from any unauthorized human intervention, or any other cause, including but not limited to malfunction of any computer component, software or communication line, any loss or absence of network communication, any faulty, incomplete or unintelligible transmissions or any transmissions that are erased by any computer or network which could limit the opportunity of any individual to enter the Raffle, or prevent them from doing so.

Entrants understand and agree that they participate in this promotion at their own risk and willingness and have not been coerced in any manner to enter the Raffle.

By entering the Raffle, Entrants agree that no claim relating to such losses or injuries (including special, indirect and consequential losses) shall be asserted against Batelco, its parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, employees or agents from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from acceptance or user of any prize, including without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage.

7.3 Modification.

Batelco reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Raffle in whole or in part, at Batelco’s sole discretion, in the event of a virus, a computer bug or unauthorized human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the control of Batelco that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Raffle.

7.4 Data Protection and Publicity

Personal data related to voice, image, name or address and any other relevant information will be included in a filing system belonging to Batelco as data controller, and can be used for taking part in the Raffle as well as publicity mailing, or other purposes relating to Batelco’s services, unless otherwise indicated.

Entrants agree that if they win a prize then their first name and the first 4 digits of their subscriber mobile phone number will be published for informational purposes only.

7.5 Applicable Terms and Conditions. All Entrants warrant that they have read these Terms and Conditions carefully which are on public view at www.batelco.com.bh. Batelco reserves the right to cancel or amend the Raffle and these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted online at www.batelco.com.bh or may be communicated through customer care on 196.

8. Publicity:

By participating in the Raffle, the Winner agrees that any of their data, including names, surnames, photos and video images, can be used by Batelco for advertising purposes with no prior consent of the Winner and free of charge.

9. Governing Law and Requirements:

9.1 Batelco’s obligations under this Raffle are conditional upon and subject to any restriction or limitation imposed by any regulatory, judicial or administrative authority with jurisdiction over Batelco, and Batelco will not be liable to the extent any decision, direction, order or determination by such body prohibits or restricts Batelco’s performance under or compliance with this Raffle.

9.2 In the event that any case of disagreement arises Entrants can present their complaint to Batelco and the issue will be decided in accordance with the laws of The Kingdom of Bahrain.
